About Nick Vendittelli - Criminal Defence Attorney
I graduated from the University of Michigan in 1974 with a degree in Psychology. In 1978 I graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing Michigan. I began my legal career as a Senior Citizens Attorney with the St. Clair County Legal Aid and Defender Office in Port Huron, Michigan. In 1980 I began my own private law practice. For several years I was a general practitioner, handling a wide variety of legal problems. I soon found that I was best suited to be a trial and appellate lawyer.
I enjoy the courtroom and working with people. There is a tremendous amount of emotional attachment to each case. After many years of writing wills, doing real estate closings, probating estates, forming corporations, and handling many divorces, I soon learned that my true vocational goal was to become an effective trial lawyer. In 1990, I began to specialize in one area, criminal law. Since that time I have been mainly a criminal defense attorney. For three years, from 1997 to 2000, while I maintained my private practice, I was also the Prosecuting Attorney for the cities of Dearborn Heights and Woodhaven.
In my legal career I have had over 500 trials and 1000 appeals. I have always measured my success by the satisfaction of my clients and the longevity of my practice. As a member in good standing of the Michigan State Bar Association for over 30 years, I have never been disciplined for any reason. I am devoted to my profession and consider my license to practice law my one prized possession.
